Famous Raw Foodists...
Donna Karen, the women's clothing designer, is a famous raw foodist who lost 20 pounds on lifefoods and has drawn a lot of attention to the diet due to how awesome she looks. My friend Jill Pettijohn, who also trained with Dr. David Jubb, helped her do it. Donna talked about her diet on the Martha Stewart Show and made a green drink for Martha. Demi Moore has been on raw foods for a long time and looks it. Her fab raw body in Charlie's Angels helped to spread the raw food diet far and wide, making her one of the most famous raw foodists, showing that raw vegan weight loss really works as a permanent and joyful weight loss lifefstyle.
Donna Karen and Demi Moore:
Alicia Silverstone has known about raw foods for a while, I used to talk to her years ago at raw food events. I know she has been vegan forever. Apparently she is mostly raw now, but I don't know. She openly talked about raw foods with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show anyway, promoting it big time. Alicia had a beautiful green vegan wedding too. Here is a PETA ad Alicia did; showing vegan weight loss is for real! While I don't support Peta tactics, I do think their central message is still important.
Woody Harrelson has also been vegan for a long time and really into raw foods. Back before I first went raw I would go to the Oxygen Bar in Hollywood that he was half owner of along with Dr. Richard DeAndrea, and they served a 100% raw food menu. This restaurant was way ahead of its time; it also served oxygen! It had the most amazing sound system ever; I loved it! The restaurant didn't last, but now there are at least FIVE raw restaurants in the Los Angeles area; amazing how fast things change! Woody is in a great documentary on sustainable living, which includes vegan raw foods, called Go Further. Check out the trailer below! Other celebrities that have embraced the raw foods lifestyle in some form include Pierce Brosnan, Daryl Hannah, Susan Sarandon, Cher, Margaret Cho, Angela Bassett, Steve Jobs, and Edward Norton. See Daryl Hannah's promotion/documentary of the lifestyle: which includes an interview with Annie Jubb, writer on Lifefoods. ![]() Madonna is not fully raw but has certainly been into it and experienced it. Howard Stern took a liking to the raw foods diet after a visit to Pure Food and Wine, the raw food restaurant in NYC, where he got the hots for raw food-goddess owner Sarma Melngailis. Jared Leto, who was already vegetarian, gained weight for the film 27 by eating a lot of pizza and dairy. He gained so much weight he even ended up in a wheel chair for a short time. He lost all the weight fasting and eating raw foods. I don't know if he still eats a lot of raw foods, but he certainly knows about their power, and of course he is still vegetarian.
There are certainly quite a few other celebrities that I haven't listed who appreciate the lifestyle. For instance, I've seen Lisa Bonet at a lot of Juliano raw food events. David Duchovny, Michael Keaton, and Téa Leoni have all utilized Raw Food Celebrity Chef Burke Bryant's cuisine, who was trained by Juliano. The point is, the diet is not just a diet but a full body of wisdom and a full lifestyle, it is so powerful that of course celebrities will be some of the first to take notice and embrace it...especially due to its health-giving, beautifying, energizing, and weight losing side effects! You have to visit my raw vegan weight loss page to watch the amazing weight loss stories!

Carol Alt has shown off her raw body in Playboy WHAT CAROL HAS TO SAY ABOUT HER SPREAD: "What was interesting to me at this moment in my life is not just my age; very few women my age do this; but I am a raw foodist and the only reason I look the way I do right now is because I changed my diet and started eating healthy, living foods, which are unprepared and unprocessed foods, the closest they can go from God to me," she laughed. "That is what I eat and my body shows it."
