List of Tools for a Healthy Kitchen...
Food Processors of different sizes, Cuisinart is one of the higher quality brands and their medium sized processor even has a citrus juicer attachment that is excellent and is the best citrus juicer I have ever used
(it's an attachment you can buy that
fits their "Little Pro Plus" model). 2 in 1! I have to say that Cuisinart processors last forever! It is definitely one of the gourmet kitchen tools you want for a healthy kitchen!
Vitamix and Blentec High-Powered Blenders To live a healty life style in the modern age you NEED a high-powered blender, it will be your single most important tool. You can start a 30-day non-risk in-home trial and get FREE shipping right now on a Vitamix if you purchase your vitamix from any of the links on this page, which is a $25-$30 value! To learn more about raw foods and the Vitamix, click on "Your Health" and scroll down to "Raw Foods" once you are on the site. Being raw for the past 11 years would not have been possible without my Vitamix Blender. I also love the knew Blendtec Total Blender because of the larger "Wildside" Jar with 4 inch blade. The link to purchase that is over on the right hand column. It is less expensive then the Vitamix ($439.95 with the Wildside Jar) and a lot of people like it more. Both blenders are now equally fabulous due to the new Blendtec jar.. For more info and a comparison of the blenders, go here.
Bamboo Chopping Blocks and other kitchen chopping boards Sharp Knives and a knife sharpener. Consider higher-quality ceramic knives for better tasting, longer lasting food. A Mandoline for making perfect slices of different shapes and sizes Peelers. Look for a ceramic peeler, they are the highest quality and won't rust.
Chef Bryan Au sells them on his site as well as ceramic knives. Plus the food lasts longer when cut with ceramic believe it or not! A ceramic peeler can also replace the duty of a
mandoline as well as remove the risk with dangerous mandolines! Hand Graters A Garlic Press A masticating juicer with twin gears as opposed to a centrifuge
juicer that oxidizes the juice.
Measuring Cups of different sizes and
kindsMeasuring SpoonsStrainers: it is best to have several sizes as well as some hand strainers
Lettuce Spinner
Vegetable wash/food grade iodine/ionizer/vitamin C powder/Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (all for cleaning vegetables and fruits)
Food Dehydrator
Teflex Sheets for dehydrating
Large Salad BowlsOne very large mixing bowl for dehydrated items like flax crackers.
Tiny bowls for separating/organizing ingredients; there are cool bamboo ones as well as ceramic.
Large Ball Glass Jars for sprouting and soakingPlastic sprouting lids to screw on top of Ball jarsThe Amazing Nut Milk Bag
Every kitchen needs at least one rubber scraper for scraping out bowls, blenders, and food processors without harming them. A larger metal scraper can also be cool to have for scraping teflex sheets and other raw food moments, like scraping up crumbs. Springform baking pans for refrigerating cakes and pies until solid; also works for dehydrating until solid enough to remove the sides easily. Pie dishesA large pizza cutter can really come in handy if you make a lot of dehydrated crackers and crusts. Use to make slices before fully dry. A good soft bristle brush for scrubbing vegetables and your Vitamix (a Vitamix will last longer if you scrub it with dish soap and don t put it in the dishwasher). Bamboo salad servers and bamboo tableware are nice so you aren t leaching nickel into your food or mouth with silverware! A drying rackA non-metal tea kettle, like the cool eco-electric kettles, or a glass kettle.
A nice teapot for herbal tea creations to make specialty drinks with. I like to have one high quality soup pan for gently warming up a miso soup or other raw soup.
Corningware sets are really nice to have because you can do a lot of marinating, storing, and dinner partying with them. They come with glass and plastic lids too. I
suggest an under counter water filter for the kitchen, as well as a water ionizer for drinking water, and a glass jar with magnets and crystals for storing water in. Large Glass
Pitchers are needed for storing nutmilks, lemonades, and cleansing drinks during fasts. You can find them with lids, which is great, and fancier ones for serving without lids. The fancy ones are fun
to have and also very useful in the kitchen. Large glass jars with tops for fermenting
items like kombucha, sauerkraut, and nut yogurts. Target has some good ones.

"A mandoline is a great tool for cutting vegetables into ultrathin, uniform slices. There's no need to spend $100 or more on a stainless steel French model; the inexpensive plastic Japanese versions work fine.
You can also use a ceramic slicer (Kyocera brand) or a 'V-slicer' (Borner brand)."
